Owners expenses:

One arranger fee to cover costs of crew recruitment
and communication.

Daily fee for skipper and crew, or mileage fee for
longer passages (both the skipper and the crew are covered by the costs
described. If for larger boats another qualified crew or skilled mate is
needed, an extra charge will be made).

Travel costs to and from vessel for skipper and crew.

Food for skipper and crew.

Insurance.

Costs incurred during the voyage (harbour dues,
refuelling, repairs and spares etc.).
Costs:

Costs depending on the type and duration of the
delivery:
An ocean crossing or a delivery of substantial distance
will usually be calculated by the nautical mile (M), at a rate of £1.00
(about US$1.50) per mile measured on a fixed route,
for example: Trinidad (Caribbean) to Falmouth (UK)
A coastal or cross channel delivery will usually be
calculated at a fixed daily rate.

Marine (Address in the UK).
1.) Definitions:
R-B Marine, the delivery skipper, the master or captain,
hereafter known as the "skipper".
The Owner(s), or agents of the owner, hereafter known as
the "owner"
Delivery: The time the skipper officially takes command
of the vessel until command is handed back to the owner.
Expenses: Defined as supplies, food, fuel, customs and
immigration fees, port fees, emergencies, transportation, local and to and from
the point of departure and of destination.
Expenses applicable to the vessel delivery will be
advanced by the Owner (see paragraph 6).
2.) Agreement:
The Owner contracts the Skipper to deliver the above
named vessel from ___(Port of Departure)__, to __ (Destination)
The Skipper agrees to deliver the vessel in a sound
condition, notwithstanding bad weather or other conditions beyond his control.
The Skipper is not responsible for normal wear and tear,
nor for equipment failure under prudent operation, nor for loss resulting from
acts of God [i.e. Lightning, Hurricanes, etc.] or acts of war, piracy etc.
3.) Terms:
The Skipper/Crew fee is : ________ per day whether or
not underway, plus expenses and travel costs (unless an agreed "nautical mile"
fee is stated for long ocean passages).
An advance shall be paid to the Skipper to cover
estimated expenses (see paragraph 6).
Delivery time is estimated at _______ days (including
travel, inspection, and familiarisation time).
Payment can be made in Pounds sterling, Euros or USD [to
be cleared before departure].
50 % of the fee to be paid before departure, the
remaining fee to be paid on completion of delivery.
Note: If the delivery takes longer than the agreed
estimated time, the overtime will shall be paid at the per day rate above. If
the delivery takes less time, the extra days fee will be returned to the Owner.
4.) Crew:
All crewmembers required to deliver the vessel will be
retained by the Skipper. The Crew's wages shall be the Skippers responsibility.
(unless otherwise agreed with the owner).
5.) Survey and Equipment Failure:
The Owners surveyor shall vouchsafe for the "Sea
worthiness" of the vessel.
If upon inspection or underway, mechanical, electronic,
electrical failure, loss or damage occurs or has occurred to the vessel (or
equipment) which (in the Skippers judgment), affects her ability to make a safe
voyage, the Owner shall correct it.
If the vessel is unsafe (in the Skippers judgment), he
will be paid the daily fee plus costs, including return fares home. Remaining
money will be returned to the Owner.
6.) Money for Expenses:
Expense money (Agreed Amount)_________ shall be paid in
advance to cover cost of: supplies, food, fuel, customs and immigration fees,
port fees, emergencies, transportation (for skipper and crew), purchase of
spares and/or cost of undertaking repairs during the voyage.
The Skipper will keep a record of receipts, and invoices
to present to the owner.
Food stores will be brought onboard sufficient to feed
the crew ( for a period of one and a half times the estimated duration of the
voyage), or else an amount of {example: £12.50} per person per day, shall be
made available.
If the expenses or voyage exceeds the estimated days,
the Owner will provide additional funds to cover this. If the journey takes less
time, the Skipper will refund any money due to the Owner.
7.) Marine Insurance:
the Owner shall provide insurance, with the Skipper and
Crew included as insured parties to cover possible liabilities including (but
not limited to), damages to the vessel and all expenses in relation to injuries
and sickness to the Skipper and Crew, plus public liability and property damage.
A copy of this policy will be sent to the Skipper for
review.
10.) Responsibility:
All decisions regarding the running of the vessel will
be at the Skippers sole discretion.
If onboard, the Owner, his guests and supplied crew,
will follow these rules and all reasonable instructions issued.
11.) Addendum:
1. Adequate quarters shall be available to the Skipper
for the duration of the voyage.
2. That currently certified and dated lifesaving devices
are onboard [i.e. 4 -6 person life raft, EPIRB, Radio etc]. If out of date,
items will be acquired at Owner's expense.
3. A fee of £200 will be due to R-B Marine, covering
communications and Crew recruitment/procurement.
4. This contract shall be deemed to have been made in
the United Kingdom and shall be construed according to the laws of that country.
